Custom Fashionable T-Shirts for Summer Camp

Posted by Sara on Thursday, April 29, 2010 , under , | comments (1)

It’s almost that time again, summer camp was always something for me to look forward to as a kid. Spending a few weeks away from your parents, being with your friends, and of coarse the great outdoors. Now I am one of the parents and would like my kids to have a similar experience. I volunteered to help our church plan the summer camp activities again this year, and I was put in charge of getting shirts printed for the kids. I had never done this before and was wondering where to start. Luckily, my dad suggested me to try LoveThoseShirts.com. He owns his own business and said he has been ordering custom t-shirts from them for years. Yes, I had seen him wearing them from time to time and it looks same after a number of wash but I never asked where he got them.

He told me that they carry several name brands and the prices are very affordable. I decided to check it out and was very surprised. Not only do they have a bunch of shirts to choose from, they also have varieties of hoodies, caps and many other clothes for men, women and youth and they print all sorts of stuff. Their website was very fun and easy to use. After you pick what kind of shirt you want, you then pick a color and then it take you to the designer page. They have all kinds of art that you can manipulate however you want and a bunch of fonts to choose from. I had no idea you could just get on the Internet and design your own custom t-shirts.

I had my custom t-shirts delivered in less than two weeks and they didn’t charge me a penny for freight. Amazing right? I just couldn’t wait to open the box to see my creation. Well, that’s how I see it anyway. They came out perfect, the other planners thought so too. I was so relieved that everything turned out okay and everybody liked the custom t-shirts. If only they knew how easy it was. I think the good Lord was defiantly looking out for us again. I had a lot of fun designing custom t-shirts for the kids. I hope they will love me and be glad about my work. I will order some more shirts in upcoming days for my personal use.

However, don't ever purchase the thing you don't like.

Ten Tips To Dress Thinner look

Posted by Sara on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 , under , , | comments (0)

Not everyone can wear the ‘perfect’ size 6. If you are a woman who seeks to slim her appearance when she dresses, this article is just for you.

Let's look at how to: Dress to Look Thinner

Dress Thinner Tip #1: Wear the right size.

No outfit is going to take 20 pounds off your hips, but choosing the right clothing that fits properly can go a long way to slimming your look. If clothes are too tight, all the bulges, rolls, dimples, or any other flaw you may have will show through. If clothes are too big, they add bulk and can make you look heavier than you actually are.

Dress Thinner Tip #2: Long skirts for tall women, below the knee for short.

If you are very tall, you can wear a longer skirt that will elongate the look of your body and thus make you appear leaner. If you are shorter, a longer skirt might make you appear even shorter, but a skirt that falls right below the knee will help you appear a bit taller and leaner. Avoid ankle length skirts if you are short and avoid above the knee skirts if you are tall.

Dress Thinner Tip #3: Patterns fool the eye.

Optical illusion patterns, diagonal stripes, zig zags and the like can fool the eye and detract from problem areas. However, avoid horizontal and vertical stripes because these both can cause you to appear heavier.

ntal and vertical stripes because these both can cause you to appear heavier.

Dress Thinner Tip #4: V-line neck and waist.

A V-neck outfit can help draw attention away from the middle area, thus slimming your entire appearance, while a V-line waist on a skirt or dress can really help reduce the appearance of bulk at the waist and top of the hips.

Dress Thinner Tip #5: Boot-cut pants, no flared or tapered legs.

If you have larger hips and thighs, when you wear pants, you do not want to wear the slim ankle or flare cut pant legs. The best cut for slimming is the boot-cut pant leg, because this will give a more symmetrical appearance and thus make you appear thinner.

Dress Thinner Tip #6: Avoid middle/waist bulk.

Avoid bulky scarves and belts around the waist, especially if your problem area includes your hips and waist.

Dress Thinner Tip #7: Wear heeled shoes.

If you can, wear at least a small heel on your shoe. The higher the heel on your shoe, the more slimming the effect. Heeled shoes slightly change the center of gravity as well as accentuating the usually smaller lower part of the legs while adding height – all things that cause you to look thinner.

Dress Thinner Tip #8: Minimum jewelry, size appropriate.

Avoid bulky jewelry, especially around the neckline. However, at the same time, if you are a larger women wearing very small pieces of jewelry, this can add to the illusion you are bigger than you really are. Pick jewelry appropriate to your size, without a lot of bulk.

Dress Thinner Tip #9: Avoid pleats.

Where it’s darts in shirts, pleated pants or skirts, pleats will pull when moving and if you have a bit of extra weight, they will not help accentuate your best features. This is especially true of your stomach area when wearing skirts or pants – avoid pleats.

Dress Thinner Tip #10: Foundation garments.

Yes, ladies, this means your underwear! It’s ironic this article ends where the dressing begins, but foundation garments make all the difference.

Bra straps that are too tight cause rolls or bulges. Panties that bind and don’t move with you can do the same not to mention those unsightly panty lines. Hosiery also can help slim your appearance. Body slimmer undergarments or foundation garments that fit properly can make a huge difference in how you look once you put on your clothes.

Old Makeup is Out of Style Now

How do you know when a cosmetic item isn't good anymore? Beautiful vintage cosmetics as collectibles are one thing, but no one should use them on their face. Here are some general guidelines about shelf life for some products, but always keep common sense in mind. If it smells bad, separates, or changes color, kick it to the curb! Read on for some great beauty tips and advice.

Foundation: There are two different types of foundation: water-based and oil-based. These will last for 12 months and 18 months, respectively, after they are opened. If you notice that it starts to smell sour or turn off-color before then, head out to buy a new one.

Concealer: Can be used for up to 12 months, but toss it if it starts to look caked when you apply it under the eye area.

Powder: Loose powder will last up to two years. Pressed powder usually lasts only about a year, because the oils in the sponge break it down if the sponge isn't cleaned regularly. It helps to keep that little plastic barrier that comes with the pressed powder between the powder and the sponge.

Eye shadow: Can keep up to three years. If it starts to get crumbly, treat yourself to some new shadows.

Eyeliner: Will last up to three years, just be sure to sharpen them regularly. Twist-up liners sometimes tend to dry out after a while. If it's dry or tugs at your eye area when you apply it, then get rid of it.

Mascara: Will last up to four months. If you keep it any longer the mascara can dry out and flake. Here is a great tip: do not pump the mascara wand because it pumps air into the tube, which in turn dries out the mascara. The best way to get more mascara on the wand is to twirl it around the tube, scraping the sides without lifting the wand out. Then, take it out and use one side of the wand for one eye and flip to the other for the other eye.

Lipstick: This one is up for some debate. Some experts say one to two years is as long as you want to keep it. The best way to judge is to smell it. If it smells rancid or different from how it originally smelled, pitch it. Besides, isn't shopping for a new lipstick fun?

Cleansers and Moisturizers: Good for up to one year. Try not to stick your fingers into the jar. Use a cotton swab so that you don't contaminate the product.

Nail Polish: Up to 12 months if you keep it standing upright. If it starts to separate and you get a yellowish layer, then it's time to say goodbye.

Brushes: Great quality brushes will last a lifetime, and they should because they can cost a fortune! Wash them with a gentle face soap and dry by laying them down so that water doesn't leak into the brush handle. You should wash your brushes every two weeks, or three if you have dry skin. Oilier skin causes more build up on the brushes, so they may need to be washed weekly.

Makeup Beauty Secrets For you

We’re going to apply eyeshadow for a regular day look that’s simple and can be used everyday.

Makeup Beauty SecretsThe best way to choose color for your eyes is to look at your eye color, and use the complimentary color for that specific eye color. For hazel eyes, you’re going to use a color that’s a little bit cooler; a plum or a purple. The complimentary color for blue eye color is orange. But you can use bronze, cooper or gold or any color that’s a little bit warmer if you have blue eyes.

A good way to remember warm and cool colors is that warm colors come from the sun and cool colors come from the water. That’s just the rule of the thumb though; you don’t really have to do that. You can use any color you want, as long as you feel comfortable wearing it.

Start out by applying a paint to the eyelids. This is a base that goes underneath the eyeshadow that’s going to help the it stick. It’s also going to enhance the color.

This is a crease proof product. It’s really important to use something like this if your eyelids tend to get oily during the day and if your eyeshadow creases.

Remember to always powder your lids before you put your eyeshadow on, this will also prevent your eyeshadow from creasing.

Apply the paint over the entire eyelid, all the way up to the brow bone and blend it outward. Just applying it lightly, you don’t want it to be very thick or else, it’ll make the eyeshadow look a bit cakey.

Then, use a nice neutral color for the lid and apply this right to the lid and on top of that paint. Don’t take it all the way to the brow because we’re going to use something a little bit lighter for the brow bone.

We want to make sure that the eyeshadow doesn’t fall below the lash line. Because if it does, it will make your eyes look that they’re sagging down or downturned

For the brow bone, use the lightest color that you use on your eyes. Apply some color just to the tip of a brush and put it on the crease and just do a little windshield wiper movements right there. This movement just kinds of create a natural crease.

Now, use a foundation brush and clean up the sides of your eyes. It’s normal for some of your eyeshadow to fall down below your top lid. You just make sure that you clean that up so that your make-up looks more sculptured and fresh.

Then use a clean brush and blend the color in just by using circular motions. You want to use the windshield wiper movement to apply and circular motions to blend the colors.

When you’ve got that all blended, use a little bit of a darker color and apply that to the outer corner of the eye. Because the natural contour of the eyes is a little bit darker on the outside, this is going to make the

Make Up Basics

Therefore whenever you’re ready to give some make over on your face, you’ve to kickoff with clean and fresh face by applying an effective facial cleanser.

Focus on good looking Part: This might seem like common sense yet it’s a must and to concentrate on your most aphrodisiacal feature. For instance if you’ve broad eyes with long thin eyelashes, then try to bring more flavor to your smoky eyes to get aphrodisiac look. There is one more thing which you need to focus on, which are your lips. They make temptation, whenever you keep your lips toned down. Put differently you’ve to highlight the main focal point with other backing up features. Make sense? Yet in the end, what you end up is to make yourself looking catchy, obtrusive and of course sexy.

You’ve to keep yourself fairly natural. Your particular make up style makes you to look comfortable in any social occasion. Do not fall in the category of 80% women, by doing over make up, as it’s not a best make up technique. Make yourself aware of the lastest trend in cosmetics and always choose the color that match your skin or fits you. You can also use mild soaps and minerals to enhance your natural beauty.

Mineral Make up Technique

Naturally, a few people have sensitive skin and have to be careful when choosing or applying make up. If you are among them, then it is advised to grab the vantage of mineral make up that is available at a low-priced. You can easily find out these mineral make up in all local department and online stores as well. The advantage of going to your local store is that you can ask for a complementary sample from the store, you can apply it on spot to check or match your skin tone.

Military fashion: women's military clothing trend

Posted by Sara on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 , under | comments (0)

Military fashion as a trend is nothing new, in fact I've been tracking its rise on Fashionising.com since 2008. But while fashion trends tend to burn out within a few years, the women's military fashion trend isn't going anywhere, though like all true fashion trends, in 2010 the military trend will evolve. Gone (but not quite) are the decadent lashings inspired by military uniforms of the Georgian and Victorian eras. Rather, military is now about functionality and utility. If the 18th and 19th centuries originally inspired women's military fashion, then it's true to say that in 2010 it's inspired by the military uniforms of the 20th century.

Think functionality. Think understatement.

military fashion

Functional military clothing in 2010

Perhaps understatement is the wrong word for the military trend for Spring 2010 and Autumn / Fall 2010. After all, there are obvious military connotations - they're just not as obvious as in past years.

Key Elements

Women's military fashion runs parallel to the new men's military fashion trend in that there are several key motifs:

  • Army green is the colour, followed a distant second by navy.
  • A great coat / military jacket is the key piece for the Autumn (Fall) / Winter wearing of the style.
  • If army green is the trend's colour, then shearling is it's fabric. And that's because of it's dual use as a an embellishment on aviator boots / military fashion boots and a coat's collar.

How to wear it in 2010

For the military fashion trend pick from the two key looks: army and aviator.

While the army interpretation is all about army greens it can still be broadly interpreted and we've seen it styled successfully with everything from cropped shearling collared coats to loose fitting cargo pants. A word of warning though: we have the odd occurrence of camouflage print, we'd recommend you avoid it for the time being - it's simply too soon a come back.

For more inspiration pictures view the gallery at the bottom of this page or view the links in '2010 military fashion trend inspiration' for lots more pictorials.

The aviator interpretation of the trend is far less open. It's about a sleek look with slim cuts. And forget military green, this is all about darker hues with dark-brown leather jackets.

Future warrior: women's fashion trend

Posted by Sara on , under | comments (1)

Military fashion may have been big for some time now... but guess what? It's evolving. Ancient warlords and kings have stormed the imagination of the fashion world, and elements of military history have been reinterpreted with a modern - often futuristic - twist. A little wilder, a little more fierce, the new military brings ancient civilisations and their warriors to life for this 2010 fashion trend.

Warrior fashion

Future warrior: what is it

A combination of the military fashion trend and the more savage side of the tribal fashion trend, the new warrior leaves the formal and decorated style of military detailing behind. The ancient world is at the centre of this trend - from ancient Rome, to Egypt, to the Celtic warrior woman. To bring the look into 2010, the historical elements are modernised or melded with futuristic twists.

Elements of the future warrior trend

  • Metal plating
  • Tunics; especially in leather
  • Chain-mail inspired detailing
  • Tribal inspired motifs

The warrior fashion trend: how to wear it

This isn't the sort of trend where rules should be laid down; it's open to interpretation and rich with possibility. It's not intended to be taken too literally either, and works best when an outfit gives the impression of some underlying fierceness rather than the overt look of a costume. So again no strict rules, but some pointers:

  • Be creative, be confident; wear it with conviction.
  • Mix some of the elements listed above in with more glamorous pieces. Sequins as a perfect example can give a look that's modern mixed with metal.
  • Mix ultra-feminine with tough warrioress. For example soft, flowing fabric against sharp metal plating or studded straps.
  • Invest in accessories that will give any outfit a warrior edge; like studded leather belts, new and edgier takes on the gladiator sandal, jewellery based on ancient cultures.

For more inspiration on how to wear the look, visit the gallery of warrior trend pictures below.

Fashion trends complimentary to 'warrior clothes'

  • With anything warrior inspired be sure to not overlook leather. It can add a hard edge or historical authenticity
  • Look to the tribal fashion trend for inspiration. But remember that in 2010, the warrior trend is more Dark Ages than bright kaftan. Thus look to the detailing, particularly in tribal accessories and jewellery.
  • If you're wearing warrior inspired clothing during the colder Autumn (Fall) / Winter months consider pairing your pieces with ripped tights for an edgy look.
  • If you're wearing a tribal piece that is just a top and not a full dress or outfit, consider pairing it with short shorts or boy shorts. Particularly good here would be to wear them with khaki coloured shorts in the vein of 'Westerner gone native'.

Styles & who has designed them

Sass & Bide duo Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton mixed tribal and Amazonian influences into their heavily detailed Spring 2010 collection. Some uses of metal plating - like the label's armoured leggings - were distinctly futuristic in feel. Others seemed to conjure up the spirits of wild Amazonian warriors, with breastplate-like detailing and strong feminine undertones.

Warrior fashion trend Todd LynnTodd Lynn Spring/Summer 2010

If Amazon warriors were forging battles in the imaginations of Sass & Bide, then Tin Hinan was storming the imagination of Todd Lynn. Mixed with Lynn's trademark darkness, giant horned shoulders ensued for a captivating and uncompromising take on the modern warrior trend. Lynn cited the legendary Tuareg queen as his inspiration.

Dontatella Versace's vision of the warrior woman was much more romantic. Metallic detail on the busts of dresses was subtly breast-plate inspired, but from there cascaded into flowing pastel fabrics; part knight, part maiden.

Balmain's take had its basis in the Ancient Roman soldier; with tunic dresses, drapes of fabric, and shoulder epaulettes.

Balenciaga's urban warrior takes her battle to the streets with gladiator tunics, plating, and makeup that hints at urban war-paint.

printed pants: women's fashion trend

Posted by Sara on , under , | comments (0)

From tailored trousers to skinny cigarette pants, to ripped jeans and leather leggings; over the past years pants have predominantly been worn in block colours. What's more, they'd become something of a basic: frequently worn as a subtle item, while attention was focussed on increasingly-detailed tops, jackets, dresses, and skirts.

In 2010, pants are getting their own back.

As one of the Spring 2010 fashion trends printed and patterned pants are bringing us a whole range of new wardrobe options.

Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2010 patterned pants

Patterned pants: styles and prints

Stripes, florals, graphic prints and abstract shapes. Bright and bold, or subtle and sophisticated. Almost anything goes when it comes to trouser prints in 2010.

And cuts? Again, the choice is yours. Skinny like Balenciaga or free flowing like Roberto Cavalli are both strong styles. Some takes, like those from DKNY and Etro, are so relaxed they fall more under the category of loungewear (further blurring the line between underwear and outerwear). But the style we expect to see more of on the streets - at least more immediately - is a toned-down take on the harem pant, relaxed at the hips and tapered in to the ankles.

Avoid: boot-cuts and flares; fabrics that are too heavy. Lighter fabrics work best for Spring.

For pictures of the different styles and prints seen on the runways, see the inspiration gallery below.

How to wear printed pants

  • Don't be afraid to mix patterns. Clashing prints can give a sense of careless charm. Just don't overdo it or you'll risk looking clown-like.
  • Bold prints will draw attention to your lower-half, so if it's not the best part of your figure avoid skinny cuts and try for relaxed fits instead
  • If going for a loose fit pant, pair with either a fitted top; or a baggier top that's part tucked in, part untucked for a nonchalant look.
  • The right pair of relaxed pants is perfect for a 1940s loungewear look. Add soft waves, red lips, and chunky cocktail rings.
  • For a young, urban look try 80's inspired graphic prints like those at Topshop Unique. As an investment however, bear in mind that this style will be more short-lived.
  • If sophistication is more your goal, look for tailored, high-waisted styles like those seen at Matthew Williamson and Luella. Wear them with a sharp pair of heels.

New Men’s Hairstyles For 2010

Posted by Sara on , under , | comments (0)

The new trends for men’s hairstyles which were presented by some of the biggest hair stylists in the world today were not something meant to surprise us. The basic idea is that short hairstyles 2010 are now in. Shaggy hairstyles 2010 have also been kept for the upcoming year, but the vast majority of fashion designers and hair stylists tend to lean over towards short hairstyles for 2010. The number of men’s hairstyles 2010 can only grow so much, so fashion designers and more importantly hair stylists try to cycle the best men’s hairstyles 2010 once every couple of years. If we take a look at short hair styles we easily understand why it is now back in fashion.

To put it clear, short hairstyles 2010 is the best look, and some even say the most manly, because cutting the hair as short as possible allows men to flaunt their manly features. The vast majority of men prefer this great advantage of being able to show their faces. Women also love the idea of men going back to short hairstyles in 2010 because they are the biggest supporters of the idea that short hairstyles 2010 give men a manlier look. There is a common misconception about short men’s hairstyles 2010. Many men, and women alike, do not like short hairstyles for the most unfounded reason ever.
